Senior-Living Community Views

In the Heart of Beauty

This small, close-knit community at the base of the Adirondack Mountain region has a population of around 4,000, and all of the friendliness and advantages one would expect from a small town. Lowville’s downtown business district is less than a mile from Brookside and the surrounding views, in almost every direction, are open fields and dairy farms. The local county hospital provides extensive medical services, many churches are just a short drive and transportation is available by Brookside for those residents who do not drive.

If you do take a drive, delight yourself with the spectacular view of Maple Ridge Wind Farm that is just minutes from Brookside.

Brookside, by design, is a community where people find purpose in their later years. The services and amenities provided or available enable residents of this community to live as independently as possible. Plus there are numerous opportunities and choices. Whether one prefers a more solitary lifestyle or an active lifestyle, Brookside is well suited to both.

As we begin our ninth year here at Brookside, we are coming to realize more how grateful we are to have our home here. It’s good to be a part of a family where we feel secure, have things we need, and have people around us who care about us. Being here frees us from household chores, gives us choices of how we spend our time, allowing us time to enjoy traveling and volunteering. -Dorrance and Anne Martin
